🏟️ Building for the Future
Lions FC have announced their plans for a brand-new 40,000-seat stadium to be constructed on the outskirts of Northside. The new facility, dubbed “The Den II,” will include state-of-the-art facilities, a retractable roof, hybrid turf, and a modern fan zone.
Club chairman Edwin Rawlings revealed the project during a media event attended by city officials and former club legends.
💰 Funding and Vision
Estimated to cost £280 million, the stadium will be funded through a combination of sponsorships, private investment, and naming rights deals. Construction is scheduled to begin next summer and is expected to finish before the 2027 season.
Fans have reacted positively, especially after years of speculation about expanding the current 22,000-capacity ground.
